education, education! what more difficult issue, isn't it?
To begin with, in my opinion, the Chilean education system has many problems and not just its laws, ways of teaching, establishments , etc. it is also a problem that begins in homes, such as teaching that are given to children from early childhood.

Some problems of the Chilean education are in my opinion: teachers without calling, exaggerated university fees, the PSU!, The fact that managers profit from their establishments, labor market, hours on school (full-time) and lots more!, i think that the problem starts in schools, because from this point are differences in education because we have private schools, subsidized schools and municipal schools. This creates a big difference because the teaching methods are very different from each other, making it clear that having more money, you can access a "better " education and get good scores on the PSU. in order to enter a good U.

the solution is not something that can be given in the short term, since it must evaluate many things, but I think if everyone in the educational system put in their hand, one day (hopefully not too distant) may improve our education and that the state really cares about education, especially in municipal schools and traditional universities because I think private universities don't require state contributions if they charge fees so high!

Wall-E, the abandoned puppy that survived a death sentence

hi everyone! :D hope you have a good weekend :) well, in this session we have to do a summary from a news related to veterinary :B! so here we go (?)

this story is about a "miracle puppy" who survives to some injections in his body to sleep. This happens in an animal shelter in Sulphur, Oklahoma. who was suffering from problems of lack of funding and overcrowding due to these conditions when a person drop to 5 puppies in the shelter door, the owners had no choice but to put them to sleep. The 5 pups were injected into his heart and limbs, were checked to see if they were dead, and were then thrown into the trash.
The next morning an animal control officer who inspected the container, found that a dog was alive! The news began to spread locally and a girl nicknamed the dog wall-e, because the robot of the film was also a survivor.
Amanda kloski, a veterinary technician, i was willing to take care of the puppy and find him a home for adoption. When I post the facebook look details, the interest in the puppy grew a lot! even the animal shelter had over 3000 calls from people wanting to adopt the dog!.
Before the puppy up for adoption, this was neutered because didn’t want to cross it, and sell their offspring as "children of the miracle dog. "
After that, the shelter began to receive donations! and the dog appeared on "Good Morning America! ajajaja

my faculty!

As i said in a previous post, I study at the University of Chile and this is distributed in many faculties in the metropolitan region and among these is the faculty of veterinary! The faculty of veterinary is located in what is called South Campus, this is in the south of Santiago in the town of La Pintana.

I love my faculty! because I like to have many green areas, which is away from all the noise of downtown and thanks to this we have a place with animals (and a cafe ajajaj) called "mundo granja", as if we were in the downtown animals may become stressed due to noise and pollution >< . but like my teammates, I think there are a few things that could change in order to improve the faculty such as our library! we need more books and better computers to work, and that the library doesn’t close so early (I know that we are far from the center of the city, but that the U could put a bus approach, even to the underground!), another thing that I think should improve the management and care of the dogs we have, and dogs that people come to throw away to the U (sad but true). Other things may change as the cafeteria, having more teachers, have more time to take electives (and more electives within our university), more practical (or last longer), reevaluate the curriculum(in terms of duration the career and the classes we need), try to control flies in the rooms because it is very annoying > <! There are many things to do, I believe that to improve our beloved faculty must work together!. Obviously, as students can not take decisions, but they could hear the things we say and take them seriously (as they often ask us and nothing changes) I don’t think that our ideas are crazy and we could improve our faculty and make it better for all :)!

the new face of stgo!

In my experience with the yellow buses and the transantiago, I must say I like a lot more buses now that the buses from the old system because, in my opinion, the yellow buses have more disadvantages than advantages as the fact that drivers managed money, which made them more susceptible to thieves, another problem was the fact that they had no bus stops, which sometimes resulted in fights with the driver because it didn’t stop when you rang the bell, was also the problem with contamination of the buses which was very bad because the smoke got to enter the same bus at times! One of the things that I liked the old system was that with a single bus could arrive at different places, but now is very complicated to get to a place because you have to take more than one bus and the subway!

When transantiago began, it was in the summer of 2007, was a CHAOS! People didn’t know which bus to take, how to pay or how many combinations you could do with a single beep! ajjaja. At that time I was in the south, so it doesn’t take much attention to news about Santiago, but when I got here I didn’t know what to do or how to get to my house > <so I called my brother to go and get me to the bus terminal ahhaha. Before classes began, with a friend, we agreed to see how to get to our schools that remain in the center, was a big problem for us, because we didn’t know why the buses were of color or where we could buy the Bip! So we went to a bip center that is near our homes, buy the card and gave us the map, we looked like tourists in our own city! ajaja finally we learn, but we found it a bit difficult, so that initially only used the subway! XD I think this system has more advantages than the former because there is no need to use many coins to pay, because you only pay with the bip card and also with a single payment can be made three combinations (previously four> <) because of this, the percentage of theft to the drivers could fall :)! Another advantage is that the new buses don’t pollute as much as did the above and also the buses are a little more spacious! The bad thing is the fact that there are people who don’t pay the bus fare, so the government has decided to raise ticket prices because of the costs of maintaining the system by doing this will affect all users: (

Something that would change the current system would give him more time for drivers to do things such as eating or using the toilet, and it showed in the documentary made about transantiago, I think is very unfair treatment given to people who, in a way help the community! I hope this will change some day (my uncle is a conductor). But in general I think there was an improvement, actually a good thing is that drivers don’t race each other as they did with the yellow buses (at least I have not played any in the past 3 years jajaaj)

pets.-

Well well in this session i'm going to talk about my beautiful pets <3 first of all i have to say that i have dogs mostly of the time, a few hamster and birds (catas). But now, i have only two dogs here in santiago and four more in puerto varas (where my mother live!)

like i say before i have two dogs in here and their names are coni and agustin. there both mixture, agustin is a mix between an akita and a german shepherd, his hair is golden with big brown eyes and purple tongue, it's a really playful dog he always throw from his house and jump over the people who comes to my place and even over me when i get home
ajajja, is really really kindly and likes to lie on the floor for someone to give him some love!. My dad brought him to home, at first it wasn't for me, it was for my neighbor's girlfriend 'cause she needed it to her country house and she chose agustin's brother, a dog just like him but black :P and in that moment my dad told me if i wanted the other dog, that surprised me 'cause my dad isn't a dog lover but at the end i say YES :D! ajajajja :P

i dont really now the mix of Coni jaajja but it’s like a poodle :P it’s a small black dog with curly hair, and her character is angry when strange people walk near the house, but in fact she is so sweet but a bit mean ejej ‘cause she always bother agustin biting his tail and he gets so upset that they start to fight and always coni wins jajaaj, my dad brought her too, she was found on the street when she was a little puppy *o* and my father’s girlfriend keep her but after a few years (like 4 I guess) she “gave us” the dog ‘cause was pregnant from there she was my pet J.

The other 4 aren’t mine but I love them like if they were <3 they are two Belgian shepherd called luna and negro a st. Bernard call beto (very original XD) and last but not least my beautiful chowchow call tonca <3, I really sais she is mine ‘cause I raised since she was a puppy >< and now has about ten years old :O.Indeed, I would love to have more animals (like a cat <3) but my dad doesn’t like much the animals (hopefully support my dogs and me ajaja), but when I have my own home I hope i can get lots of animals <3.
